- Go tubing in Vang Vieng
- Rent a motorbike and explore the countryside/caves in Vang Vieng
- Head down to the 4000 islands to finish or begin a Laos trip
- Don't plan much time for Vientiane as there is not much to see
- Buy some motion sickness pills for the buses between Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng, and Vientiane
