TAIWAN QUICK GUIDE
THOUGHTS: Taipei is a small, but very interesting country. Spend time in the mountains in a few of the large National Parks, or soak up the city-life in Taipei, Kaohsiung, and Taichung. Would definitely recommend 1-3 weeks in Taiwan, depending on interests.

TIPS:
- Travel in July-August for prime weather
- Hike up Elephant Mountain next to Taipei 101 for a great view of the tower and city
- Hike in Yangmingshan NP, about a 40 minute bus ride from the main station in Taipei
- Visit one of the many night markets, the most famous being the Shilin Night Market
- Save a few days for Taroka NP
- Check out one of the many Hot Springs surrounding Taipei
